to be fair though, your complaint is not uncommon, and it's part of what i was talking about when i mentioned their production standards have dropped dramatically in the last few decades. the vintage gibsons have kind of a reputation as having more finely sculpted necks because, you know, back then they had a dude sitting there with a razor or something shaving away at the wood until it was right.
i think i mainly don't care that much about necks because i have big hands, so it doesn't make a big difference for me either way.
