No. You're thinking of Woodstock '99. And he said from dealing with the promoters that it felt like a cash grab. It's easily googleable. I never saw any of the quotes you're attributing.
For Woodstock '94, TSP was doing Lollapalooza. They played 2 or 3 dates over that weekend.
