I would say he's not a true autistic then. Who doesn't love animals? That sounds like a bad sort of attitude. Sounds like he is unhappy about something and it's just coming out in a dislike of animals. Does he smoke weed? People who smoke weed can often have the appearance of autism and it can make them intolerant of many things, so I don't see why it wouldn't cause a resentment of innocent animals.
