I only really listen to opinion about music coming from friends or musicians I already admire. I don't really understand the point of websites with several critics who obviously feel differently about music. As for Pitchfork specifically, when the same album goes from being "contrived nonsense" to "a record steeped in roots, yet wholly of the moment, intelligent but prone to indefensible emotion, a very personal work made amongst talented friends" I give up

It's hilarious. Their critics dislike or overlook a lot of my favorite music so whatever it's not like they know all music.

Despite my dislike of Animal Collective, I will listen to this cause who knows.
