It really is such a tough call between those first four. Can't pick, but I guess it would go to Doolittle just due to the fact that it was my first Pixies album. Mind expanding type business.

Two other Pixies thoughts:

1.) The "Death to the Pixies" is a great compilation of Pixies. So much more than a Greatest Hits album. I love the track sequencing, etc - thing is great. Kind of like the SP 1991-1998 promo disc, which also had great sequencing and some good flow to it.

2.) I saw the Pixies a few months ago and the show was just great. Before it, I decided to give "Head Carrier" a spin, even after Indie Cindy. Was pleasantly surprised by a few tracks, and even managed to have "Might As Well Be Gone" lodged in my head for a few days. Obviously there are some parallels to Teargarden era Pumpkins but it's a decent track.
