I kind of understand where they were going with it. Nu-metal was still a thing and garage rock was all the rage. It was their way of merging the two. It's a hideous, unlistenable abortion, but it makes sense given the context and lack of self-awareness they possessed at the time.
Documentary is great though. Glad others agree.
