yeah, i goofed on csis being the fbi equivalent...forgot about the cia. The rcmp officers that were killed in moncton would be like, say, nypd officers, though. my hometown near moncton used to have its own municipal police force but it was replaced with a local rcmp detatchment. so i guess the federal rcmp would be similar to the fbi.

what's the difference between national and federal? perhaps that's a stupid question.
