Honestly, they could've just rolled with Byrnes fuck up here... He was clearly late jumping back in but the band could've jumped in with him and continued playing. It's what being in a band is all about... Helping cover up when your bandmate fucks up.
The fact that Corgan stopped completely and made a point to call him out shows how annoyed he was with Byrne internally.
