I think it's cool that a handful of people are bent on finding a place for the sake of finding a place, which is what I like to do, too, but as it would be impossible to say "this is definitely the spot", I don't know why they would undertake that particular challenge. It sounds like they figured out the restaurant was most likely beside a gas station, neither of which still exist, and that's the best conclusion they'll ever be able to come to.
