pink floyd also had the most heartbreaking transition into the 80's

it's actually a fascinating study; how the artist's access to a 'sound of an era' affects and compliments their sound. you know, like each decade has a particular sonic quality to it, because of the instruments, amplifiers, recording technology, practices, different outlook etc. some artists had the fortune of being born into a decade that really compliment their sound. imagine if the beatles had to start out in the 80's and have their production rendered through that particular 80's saccharine sparkle glaze. i know it's a dumb thought cause beatles affected how music evolved but humor me
