now for what probably really is a "nerdalert" moment: i think it's particularly sad that Billy just edits the shit out of all the recorded music now just cos it's the fad & the thing you "have" to do to sell records (which they aren't doing anyway) when he has the golden benefit of coming from an era when that was much, much less drastic and you could largely release music that actually sounded like the band playing it. even if the songs & the singing sucked, at least doing that would make it somewhat more palatable
