Sorry, that phrase doesn't make sense in this occurrence.
US can stifle themselves while the rest of the world profits and pollutes and the sanctions literally make no difference anyways. 2 wrongs don't make a right but if the rest of the world isn't on the same page then you're not going to make a difference anyways and you simply end up hurting your own people.
Besides, there's a lot of misinformation out there about climate-change but that is not something I feel like getting in a huge debate about because it's been done to death with neither side ever coming to an agreement.
