David`s quote from the papa-m board "I always tried to keep zwan a positive thing" sounds like Zwan is history...

zwan is done. they didnt announce it cause he said he's tired of running around tryin the generate news.

he said his heart was in the pumpkins and it was naive of him to try to start another band to try to find that sort of meaning again. (or somethin like that) and also that there was never enough time to do the things he wanted to do with zwan.

ummm he said hes 36 years old and ready for a solo career.

they hyped to poetry reading

....

I'm looking forward to BC solo though. Think of all the things he could do.

I would like to see a two disc record, one side completely in-your-face rock n roll sabbath style
+, the other pretty acoustic shit.

What happens to the Zwan catalog? The 80 songs that were played live but never released?

I am going to be royally pissed if he doesn't release some of those songs. I've been hoping for that damn Dijali release too long.

Hopefully he will keep them around since he was the sole author on most of them anyway.

billy: zwan broke up. a couple people asked me, 'why didn't you tell anybody', and im just done with that part of my life of trying to run around and generate news.

-someone asks why they broke up

billy: there isn't enough time here to tell you the whole story. its the same thing that you see on 'behind the music' a thousand times- sex, drugs and rock and roll, and im not having any sex or doing any drugs so you figure it out.

-any plans to put together another band or is it to early?

billy: my heart was really in the smashing pumpkins and when that ended i think it was naive of me to think that i could form something that would mean as much to me. i really enjoyed my time in zwan but at the end of the day without that deep sense of family and loyalty it just becomes like anything else. in some cases i felt that the band members viewed it as something they could decide to do or not to do. and our attitude in the smashing pumpkins was a do or die proposition and thats what got us through all the bad times that we went through, particularly with the pumpkins where you had two band members with serious drug problems. and without that sense of family rock and roll is certainly not worth the trouble. so umm, im ready now... im 36 years old and ready for a solo career.

I don't know why, but I'm really not sad or surprised or upset at all, except that I was really looking forward to hearing the Djali material on an album. Sounds like Billy's still taking things more seriously than everyone else. I'll miss Sweeny and Pajo, but.....meh. I wonder what Billy's going to sound like all by his lonesome.
