has anyone tried to play some of this album besides the thread starter? i looked up obscures versions and he's got it all tuned goofy and i wasn't sure if that was really the only way to play these songs like doomsday, US, come on, thats the way, etc. or if he's just makin it more difficult then necessary.

I only know Neverlost. But I refuse to tune it goofy because I'm lazy... and it's too low for me to sing that way anyway.

I personally leave it in standard tuning... I don't even remember what the tuning is in the actual recording.

His goofy tuning is just Db standard. It's Machina tuning up a half step, or Mellon Collie tuning down a step.

but that's because billy is a lazy guitar player when he can

and the G on the album version sounds really odd
the E also sounds like it could be an E5

my chord pacing isn't perfectly aligned with the lyrics
but if you know what you're doing, this should get you through the song

i personally don't like 0bscured's tabs
something usually sounds off...
like maybe he doesn't want to infringe on copywrite so he does it on purpose to fuck it up
but then again i haven't looked at his tabs since coming across then on agnew's Luna

he drops the high E down a full step to a D
and the first chord is a Dsus2 formation
you can hear in his picking the two D same (different string) notes played on the top two strings

and the descending part in the chorus:

you might not like the goofy tuning but you might as well get used to it cause that's how billy plays most of the songs on zeitgeist. sorry

you don't have to like my tabs but i know a lot of people have issues with them because i don't tab everything out in standard tuning. i'm not out to make the tabs easy to play, i'm trying to make them as accurate as possible.. even if it means using different tunings.

i've never seen a video of billy playing this song. if it's wrong, i can correct it by watching billy play it.
