Default the best contribution from James

What was the best song / musical component that James had to offer?

For me it would be the guitar solo in Zero.

Ebow on live versions of Shame. See 1998/05/21 for an especially good one.

James didn't come up with that joke, it's very old, he was intentionally being lame.

i always hated his voice, i thought it was the most awful thing in the world (after my own of course)...

but as for musical contributions (guitar right?) he isn't that bad i guess, i really don't think billy gave him as much credit as he deserved...

Did I read somewhere that James kinda sucked at guitar when Billy met him and that he basically taught him everything he knew?

Same with Darcy. That quote also mentioned Jimmy formerly being a jazz drummer.

by the way, that solo got the pumpkins on the top (ranked pretty high too) worse guitar riffs and solos ever in guitar world awhile back.

im completely bemused as to how someone who has sound recordings and uses different headphones for different types of music can't tell that's blatantly james iha's voice

yeah, I'll go with "The Boy" as well, and recently, I think 12th track from "Linda..." score... very pretty tune, it never gets boring for me.
