question about a shirt

hey all im new here, but i have a question. i own a particular SP shirt & was wondering if anyone could fill me in with any info about it.....i believe its from around 1993/94 (?) and it says "smashing" in yellow ink and "pumpkins" in green ink. its a black shirt, and the ********** is a bunch of red stars, and the foreground has a big clown with yellow hat, yellow shirt, and a red star nose, with two tears on his face. at the bottom are 3 yellow robot-esque guys holding hands and kind of dancing, in front of grey boulders or such thing. on the back are a list of the songs up through till 94 i believe.

my question is, what was this shirt for? was it a promotional shirt? or did it come from a particular tour? does anyone else have/know of this shirt? is it considered "rare"?

anything you can tell me about this, i would love to know! i fell in love with the shirt about 10 years ago, and found it on ebay. i dont think i'll ever part with it since it was so hard for me to find, but regardless i guess its just a bit of a mystery to me.

i have the shirt, but i dont know much about its history. it has every song in the bands catelogue up to... PI. i never wear it because its too big for me.

hah yep i have the same problem. the shirt is freaking huge, but i like owning it nonetheless.

i remember back in my high school days just pinning up the bottom of the shirt when i dug the whole "grunge" look hah. but thats many years ago, and now the shirt is in quasi-retirement.

I know which shirt your talking about also. Its not really a rare shirt, it kinda goes through phases. You'll go for a good month or two and never see it pop up on there, and then one week, 3 will go up for bids.

As for history on it, i've got a good history as to whereabout and whatnot about a bunch of the shirts in a folder around here. I packed it up when i moved and have yet to find it. I was going to contribute to Dean M's site my entire pumpkins shirt collection, but since that seems to have fallen through, i'm thinking about doing my own site. (Currently i own around 60)
