I had a live journal a few years back. I gave up when I realized all I used it for was to bitch about my job and keep track of the license plate numbers of people who cut me off driving, with a detailed description of their car and the person.

i thought for a second that you meant "liquid j" when you said LJ. I was trying to figure out why you were so happy with the whole liquid parody account idea.

Everyone tells me to do the same thing so I can read friends only posts and journals, but I don't care enough about comenting on my friend's journals to get one.

There is some funny shit on LJ, though, like the fetish communities, for instance :o

Yeah, recording these important things are the best uses for LJ yet. As for the bitching about your job part, at least you'll learn never to make the same mistakes again?

If you have a blog, you should use it like you would a regular paper-and-pen journal. You shouldn't feel obligated to update it all the time, just when something of significance that you feel like recording happens in your life. I never got people who just use blogs mainly for stuff like quizzes and crap.
