well this redhead can't. i look like the joker. i've tried every shade. bah. i'm gonna stick to lip smackers.

i used to wear red lipstick all of the time when my hair was red (i've since dyed it black and can get away with red lipstick more easily)

i really liked this one colour by cover girl called "Cool Crimson" which for some reason always looked a little on the Hot Pink side when i wore it.

i'm a redhead... i wear clear lipgloss.

go for something a little darker, or if anything, use a pencil and lip gloss instead. i'm a redhead with about the same shade eyes (well sometimes) and i wear a lot of brown tones and reddish brown tones. you just need something that isn't so obvious, get a lip liner pencil thats a lil darker, put on a lil chapstick, then pencil in your lips, blot, and put a clear gloss over it, i bet it would look marvelous.

I heard (from some nice chick I met at a makeup counter at Marshall Fields) that Calvin Klein red lipgloss is the best for our needs. Try it on next time you're at a department store, they were out when I was there so I can't say for sure.
