I love Cat Stevens.

His music is everything that's fabulous and beautiful. I own some two disc set collection and I can't get enough of it. Eventually I will have his albums in their entirety.

I agree, great stuff. Do you like Jethro Tull? I think of them as a mix between Cat Stevens and Black Sabbath.

Did you know Cat Stevens is the whole sound track for Harold and Maude? Thats a good movie too.....

The Light 08-06-2004 07:09 PM

I did not know I'll have to check that out.

Yeah, Jethro Tull doesn't bother me any. My parents listened to them when I was a kid. I never got as into it as Cat Stevens, though. His music is just very relaxing to me.

Tea with the Tillerman, I believe.

Yeah, I love Cat Stevens. Don't have all his albums or anything, but it's just such great music to listen to.

Forever I wanted to create this thread myself, but the fear of all the indie kids beating me up kept me away.

The Light 08-07-2004 02:50 AM

I'll beat up all the indie kids. I'll take my box sets cheap and from Costco, thx. I do what I want.

scouse_dave 08-07-2004 05:45 AM

Majikat. I've seen parts of it. What I got from what I saw is that he moves a crowd very well. He is a good performer. I will have to rent it and watch the whole thing.

There is such a strong sense of imagination in his music, that I can't help be swept away into beautiful worlds when he sings. They're such pretty, pretty songs.

He's my second favourite lyricist next to Corgan. His songs are teachings and his teachings are simple but brilliant.

My heart swells whenever I hear a Cat Steven's song. Too bad he quit the business. From what I have gathered, he made one of his last albums about mathematics and numbers. That would be a trip in itself to listen to.

LOL this thread took a wrong turn.

I like what Sapphire said, his music is very enlightened but innocent sounding and simple. Imaginative :)

That's hard to believe.

I don't want to hate Islam, but after this and 9/11, I just don't know what to do anymore. :(
