Help me pick a 6th class
 

i wanna add a language class to my already heavey loaded spring semester
i really wanted german, but in the spring they only offer German 2....so i have the options of taking an advanced french oral class...or italian 1, chinese 1, japanese 1, arabic 1........

i already speak french and spanish, so italian would be the easiest one, but it really doesnt catch my attention......should i go ahead and sign up for german 2 (there are no sign of pre-requesites) and wing it.maybe i'll call the language department.....well anyway what do i do?

if your english is good then german won't be a problem. most of the words are very similar to english (duh, english is a germanic language :D ). The only thing I think you might have problems with is the conjugation because its a bit different. Especially certain verbs because of course they don't always follow the same rules. And it being german 2, i don't think they're going to spend too much time helping you out with that stuff. german 2 is getting into reading small german novels and stuff (at least near the end). Of course, this is all from my high school knowledge :(

that being said, take french oral. french guys give it best :o

hmmm...my first thought was japanese, just cos its so....fun and different from anything on this side of the globe.plus its cool to say, "i can speak japanese"

as far as german goes i love the violence of it.like french for instance, is just so delicious to pronounce and talk in it....german is so rough and yeah i like it......i think im gonna call the department and ask if its a big difference...which they most likely will tell me it is but oh well.

so im confused........japanese perhaps? but when am i ever going to need japanese......none of my interests, aside from iha, are steered towards the japanese culture
