i'm really happy for you :) loyola is a good school. try holding out though for more money. it's so early in the admissions process that they'll give you more if you ask for it...it's worth a try.

Why are you going there? I mean it's an awesome location. It's hip. The people are cool. The campus is nice. And so on and so on. But I dunno. I guess I just have a cynical perspective because my parents spent $100K on undergrad when I could have just gone to the good public school in my state and spent $40K and had just as much fun and learned almost as much or maybe more.

What the fuck am I talking about though. You are from VA. Going to Chicago will be awesome. Going away for school is the best thing you can do. I make no sense as usual.

i like Loyola because of the religious aspect of it, even though I'm not a jesuit or a catholic. I like thier philosophy on learning. They have a very large active gay group on campus. They have an AMAZING location...right on the lake! I love Chicago, the 3 times I've been there, it was a great big city. It's clean! It's cold! I love cold. It's not Richmond, Virginia. It has a good history program, can send me to Vietnam for a semester for a reasonable price. It's just my dream school. :D

...my school is $30,000 a year... don't ask me why, but it is. I have a $15,000 scholarship from them, and a $9,000 one. Everything else is in loans...:( but this year, I'm applying for as many scholarships as i can at FastWeb....get some more money off.
