well i thought it was pretty kewl and shit but it's not like i really have/had much of a stake in it. it was more like an objective interest or what have you. and if anything that subject title was tongue-in-cheek or jocular or something (sorry for stating the obvious).

and anyways regardless of the authenticity of that stone box it's in my opinion more definite than not that jesus existed.

Even if that ossuary was genuine, it wouldn't provide any more proof than not. It's like finding an American grave that says "Tom, son of Dick, brother of Harry". Very common names.

Still, it makes you think - assuming this new report is true, there still is, as of yet, no contemporaneous archaeological or historical evidence of Jesus.

most jews see christ as another prophet...but then there is that entire sect of so-called jews who use the title "jews for jesus"...i think they're just christians in denial though.

most jews view jesus as a 'wise man' or you know. a reformer of the synagogue, and they don't think he was trying to start his own religion but just to fix the one he was born into. some jews see him as a blasphemer or whatever.

i mean: you gave the jewish viewpoint of jesus's intentions, and i think that a secular review of what jesus said would reach the same conclusion as to his intentions. so from a secular viewpoint, i agree, as opposed to speaking from a jewish viewpoint.
