What party do you have the closest affiliation with?

I'd have to say Republican....

And no fighting or arguing politics here or else! I just want to know who identifies with whichever party.

I just don't know anymore. I grew up in a very Republican family (one grandfather was in the army, the other was in the air force, both my parents were military brats). However, I think most of my family just votes Republican just because of that. They don't really think about it too much, other than my grandfater, who watches Bill O'Reiley every single night.

When I was in my young teens I used to do things with the Young Democrats of Nevada. I also used to spy on the Young Republicans and report back to the Democrats :o I was the "campaign manager" for the Democratic party for the mock election we had in high school. Then I took a poli sci class and that made me separate from both Democratic and Republican affilliations. NOW I'M A NOTHING YAY. Oh I don't know. I really, really need to get back into the political swing of things. Thankfully, my family has finally given up on trying to get me to support Bush. I'd much rather vote on a case by case basis.

I only wish my freaking family would. Man my grandfather and I used to get into some hot debates during dinnertime. Then I would end up doubled over in laughter because his Swiss dialect makes some words sound so fucking hilarious :D I miss him!

Republican

scouse_dave 11-07-2002 02:53 PM

from that list, i'd choose the Democrats

Irrelevant 11-07-2002 03:33 PM

i'm registered Libertarian scum.

I really prefer to vote on a case by case basis. If I had to identify as anything, it would make more sense to identify as a Democrat, since I usually vote Democrat, but I hate the idea of a two-party system, so I support the Green Party on a theoretical level, but not on an all-cases actual level. I think voting for the candidate themselves is the most important thing, but when there's a close call to be made, I personally would prefer to give more support to the little guys with the intention helping expand the two-party system.

I'm actually making a normal, serious post.
