fine. this is a serious fucking question. you can turn it into something julio-related but i really need your advice. how can you help someone that's convinced they're beyond help and has basically accepted the fact that they're gonna die soon?

Just shut up. They don't need help, and you most certainly aren't going to be the one to help them. Give it up, and move on with your life.

all you can do it give them support and keep trying to get them to get help without pushing too much or they'll push you away.

or. if you're up to it, tell an authority that can do something. but that can end a friendship.

who do you think you are to force your help upon someone who doesn't want it. its a no win situation anyways.

Have an intervention. To show the guy how many people really care and that his problem, whatever it may be, is affecting other people too. Maybe he will realise that getting help is the best thing.
Or just tie the guy to a chair poke him with a stick over and over again until he agrees to get help.

Worry about others personal lives only takes away from your own. Therefore, don't go out of your way to help someone because you'll end up the one needing the help.
