Looks like hollywood isn't going to secede
 

It's unfortunate that the emphasis placed on those two failed secession campaigns (hollywood and the more important san fernando valley) drowned out more serious issues and concerns like education for one- and I think that's the reason why the ballot was so bare this time around. All the resources and money spent on both sides could've been contributed to something more significant for the community; and if that happened this election wouldnt' feel like such a wasted opportunity.
