my memories of new york basically consist driving over/through it to get to lonGisland to visit my gramma and grampa. my other grampa lived in uptown manhattan 'till he died but i never visited him. my aunt and uncle lived in nyc for awhile until they moved to tarrytown. um yeah that is sorta lame and pointless i just oh. yeah. it makes me sad. oh my other gramma lived in connecticut 'till she moved to virginia. and now they're all dead there's no reason to go up there anymore really. it's sad.

yeah i can't really find any pictures but what always strikes me in places like nyc and miami is that there are actually jews there.

My friend told me once that when he went to college in upstate NY, he actually heard "I've never met a jew before."

My boyfriend's friend from Delaware, who is jewish, also informed us that Jews were nowhere to be found.

umm not really. of course there are jews everywhere, like one or two but there isn't a large jewish community in many places. and you certainly won't see people walking around with yarmulkes very much where i live.

my roommate says there's one jewish family where she's from

this other friend of mine who was here last night....i don't think she knew i was jewish until like a couple months ago when someone mentioned hillel and i had to explain. i'm not sure. i have issues with telling people i don't know why. like one time we were in the car together and it was around december and she was all 'sooo have you decorated your tree yet?' and i just said 'no' and i didn't elaborate ugh. so she's there and she sees the electric menorah she's all 'oh cool you got an electric menorah'. yeah. and we were in some group that had to reenact the abraham almost sacrifices isaac story in class and she was all dissing the patriarchs. well duh they're not supposed to be perfect they're human beings. and she wanted to make isaac into a christ figure and i wouldn't let her. lol.

Go back to ogrish.com. maybe those pictures still have an effect on you. I doubt it, though.
