So I guess I'm gonna get a new bass amp.
 
(should threads like this go in the music forum? probably...whatever)

So yeah...preferably one that WILL ACTUALLY FUCKING WORK.

I know absolutely nothing about amps. But what I've got now is an SWR LA Series thing. It sounds really fucking good...when it works. Which isn't often.

Any suggestions?

I'll see if I can convince my friend Leonard to give you some reccomendations. He's a professional bass player and a complete guitar geek, so he'll probably be able to help.
