election day tomorrow!

i know you care how i'm voting, so i'll share for you by party:

governor: libertarian
attorney general: democrat
secretary of state: republican
insurance commissioner: republican
state treasurer: republican
kansas legislature: democrat

senate: libertarian
house: libertarian

i was glad to see i wasn't voting down party lines exactly, though i probably would be if libertarians were running for all the positions.

kill voter apathy! voting kicks ass!

in my japanese class my teacher asked, how many of you are citizens, and like 25 people raised their hands, and she said, how many of you were voting tomorrow, and less than 10 people raised their hand.

i read both of their views on some issues and i liked the republicans more in those races. and the republican secretary of state, while being officially pro-life (you pretty much have to be to get elected in kansas), has been pretty well supportive of abortion law.

ha ha. i was talking to my mom on im this morning. she is so weird. i swear like their memories. she was all 'so are you voting tomorrow?' and i was all 'umm i voted 3 weeks ago'

i swear to god. is there something wrong with them? do they not remember that i do not live there anymore? ha ha. but me umm

us senate: write-in (my mother)
representative: democrat

and yep. that was it. plus the referendums and amendments i already said how i voted on them. i voted yes to all of them except the one proposing that we make like designation for non-profits more local i said know because some localities i dunno i don't trust them :X dunno if that was the right choice or not. wish i could find some partisan literature on both sides really. lol.

I haven't decided on most of the races yet--I have my links to read tonight before I go vote tomorrow on how people stand and so forth--but I'm definitely voting Erskine Bowles for North Carolina Senate. I'm not a big fan of his, but the thought of Liddy Dole as my senator makes me want to vomit.

You know tomorrow tennesse is voting whether or not they should remove the constitutional ban on a state lottery, but you would not believe all the southern baptists that are so against TN having a lottery, they think that we'll all go to hell or something. I would vote pro-lottery however I have yet to register to vote.

I don't know any Southern Baptists that are against the lottery... about 78% of my city is Southern Baptist and we have a lottery here....

I'm really only concerned about the Senate race in my state. I'll be voting for good ol' Frank Lautenberg (D). The most exciting thing for me will be to see Ed Rendell win the governor's race in PA. I <3 Ed! I wish I could vote for him.
