A question for the ladies (About waxing)
 

Who here waxes their legs?
How long does the hair need to be on your legs before you do it?
If you've never waxed before, would you recommend doing it in a salon, or would a home kit do?

I waxed part of my leg once, to make sure it wouldn't kill me to do a bikini wax. I don't think home kits are entirely effective, but I'd try it first to see if it is something you'd be willing to shell out more money for.

i wax with a home kit. im not sure how to measure how long i let my hair get.

i like it lots more than salon. i find its easier when i am hurting myself than when someone else is.

I get waxed every month. They recommend 10 to 14 days growth before you wax. I tried a home kit once and made a huge mess. It was really hard to make the wax a consistant thickness, making it really hard to get it off. As long as I can afford it, I'll never shave again. The hair really doesn come in softer, and not at all in spots.

Don't you chicks ever use nair? I once used a little, but I won't say where. ;)

It stinks. And if you leave on too long and have sensitive skin, you can wind up with some really sexy chemical burn.

I tried nair when I was 14.
My legs turned bright red, the skin started pealing.... but the hair didn't come off. I still have burn marks on my legs from Nair. I don't think I'll be using that EVER again.

UGH I am so hairy right now. At least it's keeping me warm!

I waxed my back a few weeks ago and it was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. I got halfway through and almost stopped, but I knew it would look ridiculous. I will never do it again.
