HTML / JavaScript help!

I'm volunteering at Parliment Hill, working on a website for a Nova Scotian M.P. I'm having some issues with HTML and JavaScript, however, that hopefully someone here will be able to help me clear up. I really don't know my ass from my elbow when it comes to JavaScript, so I guess what I'm looking for is a pre-existing script that will help me do what I want. Now let's see if I can set this up...

I'm using the very trite "folder look" for this one section, with four tabs on the top. The bottom half will employ an IFRAME to load pages when each of the images on the top is clicked. Easy enough--I just have to do an ImageMap. But my problem is that when each of the four tabs is clicked on, I want it to not only change the location of the IFRAME, but the image being used up top, as well. I guess I'll probably end up having to split the tabs (all one image) into four seperate ones, now that I consider it; that won't pose a problem. I just don't know what code to use in order to create a double event of sorts: both loading another image in its place and a link in the IFRAME.

Here are the images, in an attempt to help you see what I mean:

http://www.geocities.com/cherub_rock...folder-top.gif
http://www.geocities.com/cherub_rock...der-bottom.jpg

when, say, the House of Commons tab is clicked, I'd like it to display this image:
here. (a link to limit bandwidth used by people viewing this page)

Any help or pointing in the right direction would be tremendously appreciated. Also, if it's impossible, that's cool too. Just let me know so I can focus on another aspect of the page an redesign this one later. TIA!

-sighs- i hate Geocities. Whatever happened to good, reliable, free web hosting?

Here's the top image with the tabs.

Here's the one that the IFRAME will hover over.

And here's an example of how I'd like the tabs to change.

And I don't think they refuse volunteer services. I really wish it didn't have to be so complex myself, but I submitted my initial design and all I got was "could you do this? and change this? and add this? and..." etc etc. -sighs- I should've just said no.

OK your problem is actually easier to solve than you might think.

First, take a look at this script here:
http://www.tinyjavascript.com/scripts/frames/iframe.html

Notice that the scripts parameters and your parameters are completely different as far as whenre is header is placed.

Hehe

Ok, try this:
Code:

Then your first tab looks like this:
Code:

And the others are all the same, except with the names tab2, tab3 etc (and their image tags need to point to the tabx_off.jpg versions since only the first tab is activated at first, if you get me). And of course you'll need an on and an off version of each tab
