Snow appreciation thread
 

I know you way nor'eastern kids dislike it because it's a huge hassle - and I hate it, when I have to clean my car off, etc. - but I can never get over how beautiful it looks when it's coming down at like 1am... everything's silent, street lights are the only light, and nothing else is moving outside other than perhaps a soft breeze. It's fucking glorious.

I bring this up because I know much of the east coast is getting a good half-foot of snow or more. It's been a while since Northern VA (where I live) got any real snow. Thumbs up - I'm looking forward to it.

Finally Chicago got some snow. I was feeling deprived after hearing that my hometown has been buried in it since October.

From my dorm window today:

I really like when it snows in the desert.

Oh, yeah. It was great at noon, but then the snowplows came through and trampled everything to piles of horrid muddy slush.

we've had too much of it lately that just won't melt.

We had snow today! It's icing out right now. You'd think everything would be cancelled since it is North Carolina after all, but somehow we still have rehearsal tonight, which seems pretty dangerous to me.

It's coming down nice where I am. Started roughly an hour and a half ago. I had to drive back to school in it, which took an hour. The roads were freezing up, as was my windshield. Kind of sucked. I had to stop a couple of times to clean it off.
