light fluffy rain is the kind that smells good. it's quiet too.
piss-down rain sucks unless you're emo.

when i was in 3rd grade, i was in the poetry program and we had to write something about the senses. i wrote something about liking brownies and the smell of wet dog. wtf. wtf.

i guess i'm emo then.

i miss the rain.



i love the sound of it when it's just pouring, and i'm stuck in a canoe, in the middle of some uninhabited lake. each raindrop makes it's own ound as it lands on the lake's surface, but together, it's white noise. beautiful white noise. once and a while i try to watch a raindrop fall and listen for it when it hits the surface. i like to think i hear it, but i'm sure i never do distinguish which raindrop it was. god, i AM emo.

not to hijack this or anything, but

snow > rain.

only when it's falling at night.

which it's doing here currently. rock on, snow.
