I Have 3 Cavaties....

and more forming.

I hate anyone who doesn't brush their teeth at least twice and day and doesn't have any.

Geek USA 01-24-2004 04:03 PM

i really thought it was gonna say none of them are fake

Nimrod 01-24-2004 04:03 PM

Identical timing!

phaedrus 01-24-2004 04:05 PM

i hear your pain. i've got a mouth full of cavities and i brush regularly and well.

oui henri 01-24-2004 04:06 PM

you know what folks? i have no idea what that "8 watches and none of them are fake" thing is all about.

maybe now would be a most excellent time to explain it to those who are on the same boat as me!

Elvis The Fat Years 01-24-2004 04:09 PM

floss?

i will admit that i don't like doing that and rarely do and yes, that is a major part of the problem which i am working on.

But even still, i know people who brush once a day and no flossing and still are in a better situation that i am.

oh yes, and all 4 wisdom teeth need to come out as well!

i love going to the dentist!

over-production of tarter is genetic i think. my mom has a horrible time with her teeth, while i'm doing quite well with no major dental work needed. i also think it depends heavily on the quality and amount of flouride present in water you drank as a child.

My boyfriend didn't go to the dentist for a good 6 or 7 years. I finally got him to go to mine almost 6 months ago.

He's been going in almost every 2 weeks since then for fillings.

He owes my dentist $1200. I kinda feel bad for making him go.

I got the call for my next checkup already, and they're still plugging the holes they found in his teeth at his last one. Poor guy.

Nimrod 01-24-2004 04:35 PM

I had my first cavity ever last week.

I went to the dentist this AM too. I brush 2x a day (incl. that Listerine crap) and go to my dentist THREE TIMES A YEAR !!

but I'm in the same boat. I don't floss & so they tell me I will get gingivitis (always pointing out the beginning forms of gingivitis on my gums with a sharp metal pick) & eventually my teeth will fall out. I also got the good news that I have a gum abcess (abscess) so now I have to take some prescription vitamins & get a root canal !!

p.s. I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled out a couple of years ago....avoid the tylenol-codine (for pain/soreness relief) if you can.....

vanilla 01-24-2004 05:10 PM

i've never had a cavity

Go for the drugs when they offer it. It's good stuff.

strange_one 01-24-2004 10:27 PM

I have no clue.
It took two and a half years for me to convince him to go to the dentist. The guy even has good dental coverage at his work! :(

Rural French Canadians have shitty dental habits. They're not British by a long shot, but they're nothing to brag about either.

wangcomputers 01-25-2004 03:01 PM

one of my wisdom teeth is coming through, it kinda hurts.
I read that they tend to errupt between ages 19-25.
I guess i'll get it taken out next week..

it's not some random thing that you chose to do!

we're not insured since my dad is self employed so i'm looking at $2,500 for all four to be taken out

wangcomputers 01-25-2004 06:13 PM

ouch, I don't think it costs that much here.
Are they causing you pain? Or did the dentist just tell you that you needed them out?

I've been reading that some dentists will remove them unnecessarily for the sake of profit.

I seem to remember my dentist showing me an x-ray of my teeth once and indicated that my wisdom teeth might cause me a problem in the future. It doesn't hurt right now, but my gum was kinda swollen last night.
