man! todY This negro came up to me and said 'im hawngry. can i have some change?' so i opened my backpack to get some coins and he saw some dollar bills. and he said 'can you give me those instead?' and i said 'i need them for the train'. anyway. i gave him one dollar instead of coins. and then that ho had the nerve to say 'can you give me one more'. and i said back to him 'nah. i need it' and he said 'but its only a dollar' and i said 'im paying for my friend too'

Ah man, that's my least favorite. Half the beggars here all ask for a nickel and then demand that they need more after you give them a handful of change. If you say you don't have it, they tell you where you can find an ATM. NO WAY MOTHERFUCKER. STARVE!

For a while, there was a trend where all the homeless were calling out, "Anybody got a dollar for a big -n- tasty?" I am not kidding.

I would say most are homeless because they are lazy and/or stupid.

If you truly think this is a true statement, you must be a privileged white kid raised in Suburbia. I’m sorry about that.

This is another reason why I never give homeless people money so they can blow it on booze, drugs, and cigarettes.

I will, however, generously donate to street performers. If you just ask people or stand there with a sign, you won't see a dime from me, but if there's food in the car I may give you some.

There's a guy that's always by my job with a "Homeless and Hungry please help" sign. One day we had a bunch of extra leftover bagels. They were from the morning, so still edible. When we drove by and asked him if he wanted some bagels, he replied "what kind?"

Homeless people are mostly completely useless to society and we shouldn't help those who don't really want or need it.

Ha ha. One day I got the brilliant idea that we have "the sniper" snipe all the homeless as his sentence. I think it would work. Bush would probably approve it.

I'm pretty far away from being a priveileged white kid raised in Suburbia. I know that mental illness contributes to homeless people but most I encounter seem to be fine as far as mental issues go. They can talk to me, talk to their homeless friends hanging around them and also have no problem conversing with the 7-11 man selling them alcohol. They are poor and ignorant and lack the motivation and intelligence to take control of their lives and straighten up.


Edit: By the way I worked in downtown Chicago for a year and delt with several homeless people everyday, often the same people. I became familiar with several homeless people. I would see them beg at the same spot for at least 5-6 hours a day. I would also see them spend their money on alcohol and other useless items. My opinions come only from my personal experience and contact with homeless people, not from anything I've read, been taught or assumed. It is all from actual experience dealing with stupid fucking homeless people asking me for money on a daily basis.

I don't really care why these people are homeless. I just give what I can when I can. I don't stop and ask them why they became or are homeless. I don't give a fuck. I give what I can and if they use it for booze or drugs, that is their business. I give it to them in belief that they will put it to good use and some of them do. I'm not going to stop just because I think they will be buying booze or drugs. That is stupid and will punish those that truly need help.

I don't like the pushy types though. They upset me when they start asking me for more money, or for food from the bags that I have when I exit the Osco downtown. I'd like to help them find jobs or homes. There is one nice bum who never pesters me when I walk by him. He'll look up and smile and not bug me. He knows that when I can, I will. I like him. I hope he makes it ok.

I do support streetwise vendors. It is a program in Chicago for homeless people. They can go and become a streetwise vendor and sell newspapers. I buy streetwise from people almost always if I have the extra dollar. I think it is a fine program that help homeless people get on their feet and get some money so they will be able to find a job. It also helps them learn what it is like to work if they haven't already learned.

I actually got two homeless people to fight on the CTA once. This dude went in to sell streetwise on the train. At the same time that he entered my cart, some other dude got on the train with him and sat down next to me. So I buy a streetwise, and the guy next to me turns to me and says, "I'm also homeless, can you spare any more change". I gave him the loose change in my pocket and then the streetwise vendor turns around and they start having a verbal exchange. It got ugly. After the streetwise guy left, the other guy gets up and starts talking to everyone and someone on the train tells him to shut up and they starting fighting. The longest 10 minutes of my life.
