last april i got $750. this year i've worked more at a higher wage, so i don't know how much i will be getting. hopefully more, but i'm not a student this year so i don't know if that will factor into things at all.

Injektilo 01-20-2004 01:07 AM

I keep going up every year, hopefully this year I get over $1000, that'd be quite nice.

Lizard Queen 01-20-2004 01:24 AM

I got $950 last year. I haven't done my taxes yet this year, but I think the provincial government is going to anally rape me.

Affectation 01-20-2004 02:00 AM

-1400$. No more student loan deductions.

Esty 01-20-2004 03:03 AM

Until last year I always got around 1000+. Last year I got 500. :( I'm expecting it to be lower this year.

Nimrod's Son 01-20-2004 03:58 AM

Toast 01-20-2004 11:27 AM

Actually, make that "employers." Both of 'em.

Not that it matters to know how much I made, because I do, but still.

sarasvati 01-20-2004 01:12 PM

hopefully a lot! I don't know yet, though. i'm hoping it will pay for a portion of my car insurance though.

ammy 01-20-2004 01:14 PM

no clue yet.. augh waiting on 2 w-2s
though we got a student loan, so that will lessen it considerably..

am I supposed to recieve a w-2 for the portion of the student loan I recieved?

gpub 01-20-2004 01:22 PM

hopefully 2,000

Eve 01-20-2004 01:24 PM

i didn't receive a w-2 yet, and i probably won't even do my taxes, but i looked at my past paycheck stubs and if i did do my taxes i'd get 20 cents.

I don't think so, I think you just claim however much you got.

If you do them online (http://taxes.yahoo.com), or with Quicken, there will be a question asking if you've taken out student loans... I know it asked me.

KrazeeStacee 01-20-2004 02:12 PM

Last year I got about $900, I haven't gotten my shit yet this year though.

rubber 01-20-2004 02:13 PM

hmmm ... I didn't realize doing taxes returns was optional.

It's not... you could get away with not doing them, but you could possibly get audited. My dad didn't do them for a long time, and ended up having his wages garnished. My fiance's mom hasn't done them in 6 years and will probably get audited eventually, considering she's not exactly poor.

Hmmph.

You should receive a 1098-E Student Loan Interest Statement from your loan servicer if your interest was greater than $600. This will show the total amount of interest you paid on your student loan.

mirrar 01-20-2004 10:52 PM

i got 1200 last year, prolly around the same.

strange_one 01-20-2004 11:31 PM
