What comes in the free PETA kit?

I just ordered a free vegetarian starter kit from PETA. I just wonder if it's a bunch of recipes and radical propeganda and if anyone has ordered one and would know? Or would it have some sort of foods in there?

Well, free is free:

I dunno, but I just ordered one in my steak-loving roommates name. Hope he likes it.

nice

It probably contains things like dietary information, like where to get appropriate sources of protein, and what whole grains you should eat (stop eating refined white grains people).

I'm sure it has lots of lovely photos inside slaughterhouses to encourage their propaganda, of course.

How many people here are actually vegetarian? Or...a higher level.

J/K about the tree hugger thing, I just give Mr. Garrett a hard time that everyone he ever talks to, never eats any meat.

Anyways...I myself am not a vegetarian. I probably eat some sort of meat with every meal. I could never touch vegetables.

Fuck carrots, bring me a steak.

Lizard Queen 01-20-2004 12:52 AM

I think there are a stunning number of vegetarians on here, actually.

I'm not really one. I'll eat fish about 1 time a month.

shaniqua 01-20-2004 12:56 AM

i almost cheated today because i was craving poutine. i felt guilty at the last minute. then the onion rings i got ended up tasting like fish anyway.

So... you're a pescaterian?

Injektilo 01-20-2004 01:04 AM

i might as well be, I eat so little meat now. Its too cold out to barbeque, and I dont like making meat on the stove for some reason, so I almost never eat it anymore unless I'm eating out. Even then I get vegetarian food half the time.

Not even.

My mom made me eat chicken soup this week. I mean, she *came to my apartment, heated it up, and made me eat it*. You can't reckon with an angry Jewish mother.

I guess mostly pescaterian.

Big surprise: it's just the chicks!

distance 01-20-2004 12:31 PM

peta's headquarters needs to be blown up.
i actually know where it is too.

oui henri 01-20-2004 12:33 PM

i am!

and it's just a book with some recipes and info in it.

plus, you'll be happy to know that you get this damn survey every year sent to you by them that they want you to fill out within 10 days along with any kind of donation.

professional wannabe 01-20-2004 03:53 PM

i wouldn't even wanna begin to guess what's in PETA's stupid kits!

oh, and just so you now, i'm NOT anti-vegetarian at all. if anything, i respect people that are vegetarian(and i have many friends that are, even though i'm not).

*dodges bullits fired at meh*

Nimrod 01-20-2004 03:53 PM

If God didn't want us to eat meat, he wouldn't have made it so damned tasty.

the 01-20-2004 04:01 PM

bah. i like meat. I LIKE FOOD.

vegetarians are pussies. it's too damn hard to get all the energy you need just from vegetables and all that stuff. AND BESIDES, MEAT TASTES PRETTY GOOD.

wild light 01-20-2004 05:38 PM

i mostly am. i have a messed up stomach, and i'm not supposed to eat too much protein, not too many calories, so i mostly eat veggie stuff.

distance 01-20-2004 05:51 PM

i'm vegetarian and have been for almost a decade and i loathe peta.

you don't have to be pro-meat/pro-animal cruelty to hate peta.
