peabody 09-28-2002 09:21 PM

oh, and boston university, but i don't wanna go there at all. i'm filling it out for fun, i guess!

peabody 09-28-2002 09:23 PM

i think Loyola will be my #1 choice after i visit it next weekend.

if not, then Pitt is #1.

peabody 09-28-2002 10:07 PM

maybe it is a better school for some people, but not for me.

And I can give you the inside scoop...what classes to take, which professors to avoid, which residence hall is the best, etc., etc.

I applied to UVA, got in, and still chose Loyola. I much preferred a school in a big city. No matter how good the school is, if you don't like the environment (city, etc.), it is not going to be a good choice for you.

well that would depend on your priorities now wouldn't it! now don't get me wrong. i didn't even fucking apply to uva. i understand but i think it's wrong to rule out any colleges that are 'south of the mason dixon line', as if living in the north automatically makes everyone more cultured or cool or some shit.

yeah, i didn't mean that. i've just had my fill of the south. i want a big, northern, cold, city.

Siva1213 09-29-2002 12:04 PM

UVA is allright....as a guy who experienced COMPLETE CULTURE SHOCK coming from New York, all I have to say is...you have to find the right people, as with any place. I enjoy it here.

Of course, it is your choice, but academically, you couldn't go wrong.

APPLY TO NYU or ROCHESTER! Two GREAT northern schools.
