weighted or unweighted?

my weighted was 4.2 but unweighted it was like 3.6

i always did horribly in the easiest classes :( like ceramics and driver's ed. yeah. well i also did horribly in biology and 10th grade english which was pretyt hard. and geometry was boring. and yeah. n/m.

i graduated with a 86 average (unweighted) which ended up being 107 (weighted)... i don't know what that is in terms of GPA.

me too. It's because I was probably the most interested in the AP/honors classes (which is mostly why i took them). The other classes were always last on my list :-/ even though they were the easiest.

3.6 unweighted, 4.1 weighted :-/ you win!

unweighted - not taking into account the extra .25 or whatever you get from honours/ap classes

weighted - taking them into account

Unweighted goes by the grade you got in a class without any extra credit for honors/AP/IB/what have you classes; weighted factors those, erm, factors in with your GPA.

it takes into account the fact that a b in an ap class is the equivalent of an a in a non-ap class. so everything, i think they add one full point or something. don't know exactly how it works. like i think they add 1 point to ap as and i think only .5 of a point to ap bs. something like that. yeah.

yeah plus, depending on your score on the AP exam, you can get college credit for them (depending on the college i guess)

aaand. english it depended on the teacher. straight as 9th/11th grade, practically straight bs 10th/12th grade.

umm. history :( man i love history but ninth grade i just could not remember all these african kingdoms and i think i got a b first semeseter. so 9th and 10th grade was tuff, i fuckign hated my teacher, but 11th grade us history :D man i loved that. and 12th grade didn't take english had to take us government :rolleyes: i got a 5 on the ap test but straight bs. fucking ridiculous class. i hated that class!

umm. As in stained glass! i fucking loved stained glass. favourite class ever. doesn't even matter that i was sexually harassed by this creepy guy well he harassed everybody. one time he kept asking this friend of mine if her boyfriend tasted good. she was screaming at him like 'SHUT UP. JUST SHUT UP'. yeah. but i loved that class soo much. ugh julio will kill me but i don't care, i developed this huge crush on this girl in my class, sorta looked like natalie portman. she had the mental capabilities of a 9-year old. she was so vapid and stupid. b ut very christian adn...well not really sweet. but too vapid to be mean. yeah. aand. what else.

ooh algebra 2 i did pretty well in. hm what else. yeah i got a d in driver's ed but that was just for a trimester. still meant i had a b in health. yeah straight bs in health. biology was the devil. i could not do that class. there was one unit i did wonderfully on, that was on evolution and genetics. but botany was an ass-rape, so was like all that like aristotel stuff, phylum and species, and i still dont know how to use a microscope. physics. boring as hell but i generally got as. pretty sure i got an a both semesters. mhm.

yeah i have 19 college credits coming into college. not as much as my roommate who has like 30-something.

my advisor sucks. he saw i have 19 credits and he kept telling me i should take 16 credits a semester and graduate early. i was like 'umm no'

i'm taking 12 credits this semester. feel sorta guilty for being so lazy and like not doing much but eh. yeah i have to start working why am i sitting online?

actually looking back on it i probably didn't get as many bs as i claim. i tend to look at trimester grades when most people jus tcare about semester grades. i dunno. i forget. i have my transcript somehwere but it depresses me to look at

the honors and AP classes aren't weighted at my school... 3.96 gpa. I don't know... maybe... 4.2-4.3 weighted? i only take ap and honors classes besides the required shit like health etc.

judging from experience in that case your weighted gpa would probably be more like 4.6 or 4.5

Whoa, that's really cool.
I think I got a GPA of around 1.7 or so. I'm out of there now, and I've got a dimly lit future before me!
Oh well. I got a story published! It's encouraging to know I can do something right.
