Georgia School Board Bans 'Theory Of Math'
COGDELL, GA—The Cogdell School Board banned the teaching of the controversial "Theory Of Math" in its schools Monday. "We are simply not confident of this mysterious process by which numbers turn, as if by magic, into other numbers," board member Gus Reese said. "Those mathematicians are free to believe 3 times 4 equals 12, but that dun [sic] give them the right to force it on our children." Under the new ruling, all math textbooks will carry a disclaimer noting that math is only one of many valid theories of number-manipulation.

I wouldn't be at all suprised if that article was real. But anyway, the Onion does indeed rule.

What a beautiful source of commentary. Tee hee. :D

In the south, it's not like anything close to evolutionary science is taught anyway. I'm continuously disappointed in my education.

Being as evolution should long ago have been upgraded to LAW from THEORY based on our current knowledge of our past, yes. :p

There is no debate whether evolution occurs in true science, but rather, debate of what is the principle means by which it occurs (i.e. natural seelction being one of them).

And are benzene rings actually capable of going into chair config? I always thought they were flat, with Pi bonds all over the place?
