Its a difficult choice between Seinfeld and the simpsons.

Uh. You're forgetting my favorite sitcom of all time bitch:

Fucking Three's Company dude.

You can say whatever you want about All in the Family being groundbreaking, or Cheers, Mash and Seinfeld being the sitcom of their respective generations for good reason.

But no sitcom had has much influence on the sexification of prime-time TV and the dumbification of prime-time TV.

Without Three's Company there would be no Married With Children, Simpsons (basically no Fox Network period) etc. etc. etc.

Sitcoms no longer have to answer for their raciness, sexuality or just plain studipity.

That said, Seinfeld is the best sitcom on your list.

Three's company is a great show. so is all in the family. just not, in my opinion, the greatest of all time

I wouldn't consider The Simpsons a sitcom. I also wouldn't consider any sitcom as being great..
