Outkast New Album News
 

Outkast's new double album Speakerboxxx/The Love Below will be released September 9. The first disc will be all Big Boi; the second all Dre 3000. They'll appear on each other's discs, but for the most part it's as if it were two solo albums in one. They will simultaneously release a single from each album: BB's is "Groove Musick"; Dre's is "She Lives in my Lap." I haven't heard the first one, but here's a link to the second one:

It's, uh, very Prince-like. I dunno. Double albums are always disconcerting. It's a minus that this one won't be conceptually cohesive, and the single isn't very reassuring. But it's just a single, after all.

The single came out on 12" today. I'm gonna :smoke: and jam it tonight about 10 o'clock.

interesting. i'll definitely be looking forward to b.boi's disc more so than dre's....especially after hearing that single, but definitely an album i've been looking forward to.
