Technical Question (cd drive)
I'm trying to rip my band's demo so I can put it up on the site, and my cd drive won't recognize that there's a cd in their. Niether of my computers do, in fact. It plays fine on the cd player, but niether of my computers can read. Am I missing drivers or something?
You have crappy hardware
Are you sure that the program you're using to rip the tracks has the right drive selected as the audio source?
Sounds like you have the CD in upside down.
Try turning it over. |
You can't rip audio from a DVD in a CD player.... Duh!
insult my intelligence will you.
Obviously, the hardware is rebelling against your band's shitty music.
(Joke. Poor John. :() |
If you're trying to rip a burned cd... the cd rom drive might be nazi and not recognize it because it's burned....
If so, yeah. Your hardware sucks. |
There aren't any drivers I can get to read it? I remember it did the same thing for cdrws, and that was an easy fix with a trip to download.com.
have you tried EAC ? ( http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/ )
Try downloading the latests drivers or firmware patches for you cd drive.
