They didn't call me on my birthday. Or the two days after. So I was getting worried and I just called them and I guess they forgot about it. Between my mom, my dad, and two sisters, you'd think someone would remember. I'm probably being a whiny brat right now, but I still feel rather unloved.

Did you just turn 16? Is your older sister getting married? Is a Chinese exchange student staying at your parents' house?

I'd be pissed.

My dad never remembered, and also never knew what grade I was in...but I got used to that. If my mom forgot I'd be sad.

even though i'd like to think i don't care about things like that, i would be awfully sad if everyone i knew forgot my birthday

People forget, sometimes it hurts you but no one is perfect. Oh Happy belated Birthday. When I stopped having expectations of people my life got a whole lot easier.

yeah my dad still doesn't know how old i am. but that's ok. cuz i don't know how old he is either.

aw dude that sucks, i'm sorry. Maybe ummm they thought you'd be out all day and didn't want to leave a message. or they felt that you wouldn't want to hear from them perhaps?
