i saw 28 Days Later last night...

omg, is it ever creeeepy. it made me almost shit my pants in a few parts... it was a really strange, but really well done movie overall. i'd recommend that you all see it. cuz it's pimp. and now one of my favorite movies i've seen in a theater. the ending is my only complaint. it wasn't HORRIBLE... but i just expected a bit more i guess. :smoke:

I didnt like it.

I thought it was too long and drawn out.

It was a pretty good idea for a movie, but i think it could have been better.

but then again i dont like scary movies

i think some parts were a little bit maybe, but overall, i really didn't think so. it kinda gave me a chance to think and to put myself in the situation, instead of having noisy, scary things ALWAYS happening. it was like a creepy Silent Hill feeling to me.

tell me though, was it good for a scary movie?

Excellent movie, very well done. The first one I've seen in a theater in a long time that in retrospect I'd say was worth the ticket price.

it was a little drawn out in some parts, but the visuals, as well as the soundtrack, was good.

like i said in desi's thread.

MstrGhost 06-28-2003 04:59 PM

I've seen it some months ago, ok, it scared me. When I sat down, I didn't even knew what was the movie, I just had nothing else to do. I loved the way it was always quiet with abrupt amounts of action during scarce seconds wich seemed to last for much long. I just didn't like that much the zombie cliché, it turned a good film into something more cheesy.

It's an interesting concept, but i don't think i could sit through another movie shot on digital.

it was decent. Dawn of the Dead was better. heh. but it was still pretty good.

The Pantsmaster 06-29-2003 12:52 AM

Just got back from seeing it, I thought it was quite good. Does anyone have the soundtrack?

i like Dawn the best of the series due to its more open satire, but all 3 are great.

you should read the original script to Day of the Dead that he couldn't get off the ground due to budget problems. it was great and would have made a fantastic movie.

My favorite part was when Selena slashed her friend when he was infected. If the rest of the movie would have lived up to the brutality of that scene with many more like it, I would have been amazed. I still think it was really awesome and I love the way Godspeed was used in the movie. I was all happy when Grandaddy's A.M. 180 started playing.

miss world 06-29-2003 08:10 PM

its not playing anywhere near me. goddamnit.

peabody 06-29-2003 09:08 PM

i saw it too.

i thought it was pretty good.

murgle 06-30-2003 02:59 PM

I saw it yesterday... It wasn't what I had expected, but I really liked some parts of it. I really like the way that the movie was shot- that's probably what I like the most.

The ending did kind of suck, but it definately wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen (although my boyfriend says that it's at the top of his list of 'movies to NEVER recommend to people'... he didn't like it at all. heh)
