I know this lady that hates her daughter, and they had to go to mexico because of her.

That weekend her lottery numbers came up. She hates her daughter a lot more now.

It's sad

ill buy a ticket if it's a huge jackpot and sometimes i get a scratch ticket thingy every once and a while, but thats it.

mhmm. you have better odds of getting hit by lightning than winning the lottery. so i dont see the point of throwing away money on it.

to be honest, i didn't have any photo ID until 2 days before i turned 19
and i was too chicken when i was 18...thinking i'd get carded.

never have, never will

i don't get enough money coming in to justify throwing any of it away to chance.

The lottery is illegal in north carolina, which is where I'm from, so I never played, except I bought a scratch off when I was in Kansas a few weeks ago and I won $10.

Shparticus 06-08-2003 06:16 PM

I just buy candy bars with contest wrappers. The odds of winning are just as good, if not better, and if I don't hit the jackpot I at least get a candy bar. Plus, it's usually cheaper than a lotto ticket. Win-win-win, baby.

mpp 06-09-2003 09:49 AM

i've played 3 times in my life

the first 2 times i won ($10 and $20 i think) and i said i'd stop if i didn't win and i didn't win the third time so i stopped

it was badass to win thirty bones though

about a year ago I was getting hooked on it, getting a ticket 3-4 times a week, but nowadays I just get the one superdraw ticket a week. I play the pokies(slots) alot more instead, since you at least have a bit of a chance of getting some cash outta those

Salena Child 06-09-2003 10:07 AM

only when it goes over 30 million.

yo soy el mejor 06-09-2003 10:09 AM

in texas they have machines in grocery stores that you can just buy a ticket from.

it's for people 18 and over. but i've been buying them every once in a while since i was 15.

since a bunch of mojo's work there. they really dont care.

Not at all. It’s a tax for the stupid.

wounded 06-09-2003 11:20 AM

both my dad and grandpa won a $1000 on scratch off.

i play ocassionally. i hate in the gas station when i'm waiting to pay and poor people are spending 40 dollars on scratch off.

In hillbilly accent: "uh gimme a pack a cigs and a $10 scratch off, that one there two of those other $10 ones and gimme a couple $2 ones too.

clerk: any kind of $2

"yeah"

clerk gives her the$2

"well not that one, li meant the monopoly scratch offs

clerk: we are out of those

"well let me look. give me some of them too."

20min later i pay for my gas

that was kind of a rant, but that exact coversation happened in front of me last night
