Fuck. Just go up by 3. 7-4 is a fine lead. let Smoltz get a chance for another save, damnit!

Rooting for your team not to do as well so that one guy's stats get inflated is lame.

Hey, the team's doing fine. They're just doing a little TOO much. I'd like to see him get 60 saves, you know. But good for the other guys.

Faggot.

When your choke artist team makes the post season 12 straight years and only wins one ring, you learn to root for statistics instead of championships.

You won't have to worry about it when they play Seattle cause they won't be scoring any runs.

Exactly!

And actually, the middle relief is coming around. Maddux had a GREAT start yesterday... if the offense continues like this, I'd say this year is their strongest to win the title in a long time.

The NL East title? Sure.
The NL Pennant? Outside shot.
The World Series? American League team.

what else is new?

reds split the season series with them and the braves are lucky...yes, lucky...that they split it...should've been 4-2

there is no doubt in my mind that the braves are the best team in baseball, but the reds really step it up when the big boys come to town (2-0 vs. yanks, 3-3 vs. braves, 6-1 vs. cards...)
