She's 13.

Or at least, she says she is.

yeah. my mommy and daddy didn't allow me to see most R movies until I was 12 or 13. it was a big coming of age thing. "OOH! She's 12 now! we can rent full metal jacket and Platoon and Aliens!"

Anyway... yeah, despite the overwhelming hype and 15-year-old fanatacism surrounding it, Pulp Fiction is a very good movie. Tarantino's an excellent director. Resevoir Dogs is awesome and Jackie Brown is even better. I hope good things continue to come, despite his being very unprolific.

I think it's good that you're not desensitized to that shit. Sounds like you still retain some elements of vivacious humanity within yourself.

DeadOpera 06-01-2003 03:35 PM

i actually watched pulp fiction last night. It's still pretty funny after seeing it a zillion times.
I like true romance the best out of his films.

yeah shes nothing at all like the jaded world-weary thirteen year olds i know. its everso refreshing!

distance 06-01-2003 03:49 PM

seeing pulp fiction any other time doesn't compare to walking out of the theatre after seeing it for the first time back in 94.

every time after that (theatre or on tv/video), was just plain... boring.

someone shoot random female. she's out of control and needs to be stopped.

palidor 06-01-2003 05:22 PM

It's a brilliant movie and in my personal top 5 films of all time. I thought it was just "OK" the first time I saw it... then afterwards the more I thought about it, the more I liked it..

it's ok. i was disturbed for about 2 seconds before i realized that everyone in this internet thing needs at least one person to randomly hate their guts. before, it was Brad. Now his vindictive subconscious can rest easy knowing the position remains filled.

Shit, I don't think I've watched Pulp in almost 2 years now. Dogs is still my favorite though. The violence in it is funny but if its your first "big" violent movie you'll be like "Ugh". But, in the end, it isn't realistic violence, its all very cartoony.

I'm hoping KILL BILL will blow my head to the back of the theatre. it could go either way, though. and I'm still wondering if Tarantino is going to do GLORIOUS BASTARDS with Adam Sandler. Hopefully it'll be better than Punchdrunk Love.

This happened to me also when I watched this movie. I think I was too young when I first saw it and it went over my head but its now one of my all time favs.
