i know my mom coudln't. and that is why i tease her sometimes. heh. i would be supportive, because obviously i have no say in the matter, but i wouldn't like it.

i really don't understand the big deal. sure, i'd like my son to marry and for there to be grandchildren down the road and all, but it's his life before it's mine.

I don't plan on ever having to deal with having kids at all, but I can honestly say that it would make absolutely no difference to me. Though I'd feel bad for them, and I'd rather that they weren't just because it would be harder for them that way. I'd be the kind of mom who would want to beat up every kid who called my son a fag. But yeah. Doesn't look like that'll be happening. Weird to think about, though.

I'm straight and I have gay friends. They're gay and have straight friends. If my child was gay I wouldn't mind. I'd probably go through denial and all that but I would not interfere with my child's decision. At one time in my life I would have disowned him/her. But I've grown up a little too

The basic thing is to be supportive of the kid. Me and my buddies had a discussion about this one night. One of my friends was adamant saying he wouldn't disown or not love the kid, but he'd be disappointed due to the whole not-having-grandkids-the-natural-man-woman-way.

I'd be disappointed.

I'd be supportive, but I would also be sad because I know that he would need to put up with a lot of people's shit through his life. But I would be there for him.
