I’m not sure Trump winning leads to AOC 2024, but I know for a fact Biden winning doesn’t. Do you think 4-8 years of Biden/Harris will be followed by an actual progressive? Because that is ignoring history.

Because in theory? What theory? You are literally pulling this out of your ass. I asked you to provide historical precedent for a right wing fascistic takeover being followed by a progressive wave and you said Hoover to FDR, I called you on the asinine nature of this claim, and then you blatantly lied and said “I didn’t say that.“

You literally over a dozen plus pages have not been able to explain why you think this.

Can you really not understand why, as more young people come of age, and as neoliberals continue to lose, people would gravitate towards AOC? Stop calling Trump a fascist you do not know what that word means. If he was a fascist you wouldn’t be telling me to vote because it would be pointless.

Again no evidence, pulling shit out of your ass. Less people voted for leftists this time. Why would it change after 4 more years of Trump destroying the government? Also Hitler was elected you dumb douche. Fascism has nothing to do with how one comes to power. For a college kid, you don’t remember much from college.

It's what they will do that matters. And yeah Biden and Harris both did shitty things before, I'm not denying that. But in this climate they will not.

What policies are those? Can we stop pretending he has good policies? Because he’s already walked back on expanding Obamacare and fossil fuel stuff and he is pro-fracking. Trump has actually signed legislation that legitimately helped black people (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Step_Act) despite being literally Hitler according to RBG. Stop telling me I want Trump to win. I don’t. I detest the man and policies. I would only want him to win if it was guaranteed him winning would lead to actual change, but I am not certain. I just think there’s a much better change for change if he wins than there is if Biden wins and people like RBG pretend everything is perfect while people die because they can’t afford their hospital bills and Biden bombs the shit out of the Middle East.

I already gave you evidence showing it was rigged against Bernie but you keep repeating your tired talking point of him “losing support”. It is likely they will try to cheat AOC as well but I can at least hope she does well enough that it doesn’t matter. Additionally, like I said, she is more willing to play ball with the establishment. She is part of the Democratic Party. Perhaps she can convince them not to completely sabotage her. Again, none of this is guaranteed, but assuming that returning us to the Obama era is somehow going to placate an irate working class is completely delusional. Do you STILL not realize why many 2008 Obama voters went for Trump???

I’m tired of mincing words with a delusional baby. You are a disingenuous liar and you just muddy the waters so that you can feel right in this vague sense without answering one fucking thing that is said to you. Maybe in your sophomore year you should take a logic and rhetoric class

Again, no evidence, just your personal hunches. I’m sure you are quite the big fish on bernie sanders facebook groups

Squish Squash 08-25-2020 03:27 PM

Jesus Christ I can’t believe I have to link this but fine

https://www.vox.com/platform/amp/pol...urnout-sanders

“But Biden continues to struggle with young voters. The former vice president performed best with that demographic in Florida, where he lost voters ages 18-44 to Sen. Bernie Sanders by a 13 percentage point margin; in Illinois, Sanders’s advantage among the group was 37 percentage points — and in Arizona, the senator bested Biden by 52 percentage points”

As for AOC working more with the establishment, she’s willing to be part of the party is she not? Bernie isn’t.

Why are you insisting I provide evidence when you have provided absolutely none yourself? In fact I have now provided two articles to support my points while you have provided none but you are the one screaming about a “lack of evidence”. I’m still waiting to hear evidence on how Trump is literally Hitler and how electing Biden will lead to progressive change.

Who was the candidate who proposed policies that actually would help minorities? Cuz it sure wasn’t Biden.

You’re not actually going to make me post results from states with black people in them are you

But yes you, a presumably white person (if I am wrong I apologize in advance), are going to tell black people what’s best for them. That seems very leftist if you.

Eulogy 08-25-2020 04:53 PM

SIDENOTE: I agree bernie’s policies are better! But he had four years to develop some outreach and you know what? He fucking sucked at it! Which is why he got his ass kicked.

Eulogy 08-25-2020 04:54 PM

I went from Warren to sanders p quickly. But neither of them had any clue about how to win a southern primary. I don’t like Biden, but he very clearly, demonstrably won fair and square. If you’re saying it was rigged you’re basically saying black people shouldn’t have a say.

I’m mixed and am in fact a descendent of slavery but thanks for playing. I do often pass for white but my mom does not. Bernie’s policies are obviously better than Biden’s for the working class, and Black people make up a disproportionate percentage of the working class. I’m sorry Bernie doesn’t ramble about black kids playing with his leg hairs or whatever Biden did to make you think he isn’t a racist piece of shit. Biden can barely string a coherent sentence together at this point, it’s laughable to think he knows some secret about how to “speak to black people” when he’s said numerous insensitive things about them, including implying Black people are monolithic recently. Bernie has made no such claims. All your claims seem to be regurgitated from CNN. Bernie also did better with young Black people, which is consistently ignored. I am saying it was rigged because exit polls indicated it was. I provided support for this earlier in the thread.

It would. Unfortunately you learned nothing from 2016 and its aftermath.

buzzard 08-25-2020 07:09 PM

I'm still waiting for you to explain via logic and/or evidence how Ocasio-Cortez is going to deliver an Electoral College win in 2024.

Unfortunately, you are as delusional as you are unintelligent and will never do that. It is abundantly clear by now that it is a waste of time to even communicate with you.

Sanders did better with young people across the board. Unfortunately those people don’t fucking vote. Exit polls never indicated Bernie would win in the south. Believe me, I was paying attention. He lost because no one in the south voted for him. Period.

Eulogy 08-25-2020 08:11 PM

And I already acknowledged that bernies policies are better. You’re so disingenuous. I do apologize for assuming you’re white, as I previously mentioned.

Because she supports policies that appeal to working class people and because people under the age of 40 actually like her. Why do you think Bernie got a lot of support from independents and even some right wingers who were working class?

Have had a bad feeling about this since biden was the presumptive nominee. Feel pretty certain trump will annihilate him. Then us

This is why I like the Roman saying “those who can lead will lead.” Hillary got more people to support her in 2016 than Bernie did. And Joe Biden is doing the same thing. Maybe some people don’t like him as HARD as they liked Bernie, but he was able to play the game better and win the nomination. If Bernie were a good leader he would’ve got more support. Period.

I don't think anybody is confident about this one and it'd be pretty weird to have this many pages of people urging a vote against Trump if they were convinced that he's going to lose.

duovamp 08-25-2020 09:15 PM

I’m optimistic still. I don’t see Trump winning any previous democrat voters, but I do see him losing republican support from 2016. His margin of victory was so narrow in PA that I can see the state going blue next time around if only 23,000 voters change their minds.

Or if democrat turnout isn’t a shitshow. And I’ve got a feeling turnout will be high.
