Bunch of perfect nobodies coming here to define a dead person by the worst thing they think they know about him? Don’t ever change, Netphoria.

I mean, obviously accusations of crimes should be examined instead of simply being accepted unconditionally on their face, but when you examine the evidence investigators disclosed to the media pertaining to this case… it seems more likely than not that Bryant was a rapist.

I don't feel bad about people pointing out that a dead guy was probably a rapist just because he was good at throwing balls into a net and got paid enough money to do it that he could afford to die in a helicopter crash.

That doesn't mean I'm celebrating it, either. He wasn't the only victim of the crash. A teenager also lost her life. All around, a tragic event.

But also, Kobe Bryant was probably a rapist.

redbreegull 01-26-2020 10:58 PM

he sure swung a mean bee ball though

the evidence was her word so your saying it's more likely than not he was a rapist is accepting the accusations unconditionally on their face.

i've definitely regretted some sex and behavior, but i've never gotten millions of dollars out of it. goddamnit.

he acknowledged the accuser thought it was non-consensual

thus non-consent being misunderstood

i don't know shit about the crash. the in hell threads are always about the worst shit people do

feel free to make mine about stealing pain meds or being forced to watch child pornography or some shit

reprise85 01-26-2020 11:15 PM

The evidence was:

Quote:

When the officers asked Bryant whether she said no or resisted, Bryant replied, “Okay. I’m thinking, I’m thinking, I’m thinking. (Pause.) I’m trying to think of the conversation we had.”
How many consensual sex-havers have to "think" about whether their partner resisted or said no?

Quote:

“[The nurse] stated that there were several lacerations to the victim’s posterior fourchette or vaginal area, and two of those lacerations were approximately one centimeter in length,” testified Det. Winters. “And there were many, I believe, 2 millimeter lacerations. Too many to count… [The nurse] stated that the injuries were consistent with penetrating genital trauma. That it’s not consistent with consensual sex.”

Detective Winters further stated that the nurse told him the vaginal injuries had most likely occurred within “24 hours,” and that the accuser had “a small bruise on her left jaw line.” Also, that examiners had found “blood excretions” on Bryant’s T-shirt “to about the waistline.” The blood, testified Det. Winters, had “the same DNA profile as the victim in this case.”

Obviously, this isn't conclusive proof of rape, I suppose. Rough consensual sex is a thing. But you'd have to be really charitable to think that these signs don't make rape a more likely explanation than consensual sex. Plus, I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that rough sex with choking usually occurs between partners who know each other's boundaries and have discussed them in the past, rather than being a feature of most spontaneous one-night stands between people who were complete strangers not fifteen minutes prior (though those of you with more knowledge in this area may correct me on this).

We also don't know if the accuser got "millions of dollars" out of the accusation. There was a civil settlement, but its terms were never released to the public.

Seeing as I can't un-pos-rep you for the marvelous now-retracted previous title, I feel you have taken something from me without my ongoing, affirmative consent.

redbreegull 01-26-2020 11:34 PM

close thread

duovamp 01-26-2020 11:38 PM

He died with his child so maybe we should leave the event alone.

redbreegull 01-26-2020 11:41 PM

no one is saying he was raping his child on the helicopter dude.

duovamp 01-26-2020 11:42 PM

Taking one of his children to the grave with him is probably Roman Polanski's best bet for being remembered foremost for his masterful mise-en-scène and preventing any less savoury details of his biography from marring his online eulogies.

topleybird 01-27-2020 03:55 PM

Almost like he killed several people, with a helicopter, due to unsafe conditions

Planters is walking back Mr. Peanut's death because of Mr. Bryant's death

Given how tasteful and well-considered the ad campaign was from the start, I very much look forward to the frantically reshot Super Bowl ad they'll be airing shortly

qwerty sp 01-27-2020 05:46 PM

RIP Kobe you sure had a cool name

duovamp 01-27-2020 07:46 PM

Kobe had to die to save Mr. Peanut. The things we do in life echo through eternity like ripples in water. RIP Kobe Bryant.

Emmanuel Sanders’s death makes basketball cry little basketballs. :(

yo soy el mejor 01-28-2020 01:54 PM

my older brother has a really nice smile and teeth (without braces, the jerk!) like kobe's. my bro was a huge fan of his and basketball and i am betting he cried Sunday, but he'd never admit it.
